The Benefits of Reading

What occurred to us when they hear that word? Some there are who think reading is a boring activity. Others say that reading just takes time, energy and mind. Some even assume that reading is not a useful activity because it does not produce the material. In fact, if we want to think critically, we would find so many benefits of reading activities. 

By reading a passage, a person can receive information, deepen knowledge, and improve intelligence. The understanding of life will be more sharply because reading can open up the minds to think critically and systematically. Only by seeing and understanding the content written in the book of knowledge as well as lessons, reading can be a simple activity that requires little capital, but reap so many benefits.

Habit of reading is a skill acquired after a person is born, rather than innate skill. Therefore, reading habits can be nurtured, fostered and developed. For countries which is developing countries in general reading activity is to benefit directly. For the purpose of academic reading is to meet the demands of school or university curriculum.

Books as media transformation and dissemination of knowledge to penetrate the border a country’s geographical boundaries, so that science can be communicated and used quickly in various parts of the world. More and more reading books, increasing our insights to the problems in the world. That’s why the book is called the window of the world.
